How we work
Typically, one of our consultants will work on-site with your design team to help establish a set of baseline requirements. The consultant will also liaise with your business stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and any questions or concerns are addressed. Lastly, the consultant will identify target users and co-ordinate a user committee, acting as an intermediate to ensure that channels of communication are open to all involved parties.
Once a set of baseline requirements is agreed, there normally follows a cycle of model development, which is normally carried out with regular stakeholder and user involvement, to reflect their ideas. This may be conducted on-site or off-site depending on circumstances. Multiple models can be compared and (if desired) demonstrated to senior management.
There may be a number of competing models and designs at this stage, so the next phase aims to select a single design.
Working in Partnership...
Designs created are always guided by your staff; the objective is to build the best possible model from which detailed requirements may be created, and to identify any flaws ahead of expensive build phases.
We may then continue with the project, helping refine the requirements as the build phases commence, or we may even offer development services if required (taking advantage of our contextual knowledge). We can also create bespoke systems training guides and interactive training environments, based on the prototypes. This can be done ahead of go-live, and allows pre-training of staff to help ensure a successful launch.
