Reynard Thomson was founded in 2009 to provide specialist consultancy on the use of prototyping techniques in software design.

Since we all came from a consulting background, it was a natural progression to form a proper company after many years of freelance work. This has allowed us to grow the business carefully and to add software design/development and usability consultancy to the services we offer.

Though we are a young company we collectively have many years of commercial experience working in a variety of different sectors including finance and telecoms.

In September 2010 we finally opened our first office in the coastal village of Burntisland, with a great working environment and nice views south to Edinburgh.

Though we concentrate on some key services, we've been around the block a bit and have a wealth of experience that we can bring to any project. Here are some of the things that we offer...

In late 2011 we launched Kupima, a crowd-sourced user testing platform.

Kupima offers an easy way to get valuable user feedback and insight about your website in written and video form. Real users, sourced from a panel spanning a wide range of different backgrounds, conduct your tests and submit video reviews. It's a bit like having a real user in the room with you, as you learn a lot from observing and listening to the user as they perform your tests.

Kupima gives all of the benefits of an in-house usability test at a fraction of the cost.

We currently run two blogs relating to some of the things that we do:

SoftwarePrototyping.net

This is our original blog which is largely dedicated to spreading the word about effective software prototyping. We also review tools, discuss techniques and do the occasional case study or industry feature.

The Kupima Blog

This is a blog dedicated to all things relating to effective user testing, usability testing, working with feedback, user experience and so on. Please pay us a visit!
